Good Form Gait Clinics

Good Form Gait Clinics – The run gait clinics cover the key ingredients to more efficient running, injury reduction, and simply making run training more enjoyable.  Video footage will be captured and reviewed for every participant.  Leave the clinic with a better understanding of personal gait, clear mental targets to enhance training sessions, and simple core exercises to complement your running.

The group clinics will be capped at 20 participants, $15 pp and free to all Maine Running Academy members.  Email doug@thesustainableathlete.com with any questions.  The Sustainable Athlete has the following upcoming run gait clinic:

Core Strength for Runners

A new semester of Core Strength for Runners starts with Coach Kelsey on Tuesday October 1.   This class will meet bi-weekly, Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6 AM.  This class targets activation of running specific muscle groups and functional strength to keep the body running strong.

An evening opportunity will begin Thursday Dec. 5th with a class instructed by Denise Goode and Doug Welling meeting every Thursday at 5:00 PM.

TRX Strength Training For Endurance Athletes

TRX Suspension Training uses body weight to perform 300+ exercises that target development of power, flexibility, core strength and endurance.  This class will be a fun way to incorporate strength training into your endurance routine.  The next winter semester will be offered on Monday evenings, starting Dec. 2nd, at 5:00 PM.   Winter Spin 2013-2014

Winter Spin Classses 2013-2014

We hope you will join us for the 2013-2014 edition of winter cycling!  This winter we are excited to have a new space at Maine Running Company (309 Marginal Way), a Computrainer suite linking 8 units, and 24 Kurt Kinetic Fluid trainers for participants.  This winter’s session will be held Monday and Thursday evenings at 6:00- 7:15 PM, starting Dec. 2nd.  Longer, endurance spin workouts will be held on Saturday mornings at 8 AM, starting Jan. 11th.  Quantify your gains in power production this winter!
