Mike Chase’s introduction into endurance sport came in the form of a local sprint triathlon. Since that time, Mike has continuously pushed his limits up through his most recent race at Ironman Canada. Constantly seeking a new stimulus, Mike is in his environment when trail running, riding cyclocross, racing xterra, nordic skiing, or partaking in a winter triathlon…the more gnarly the conditions the greater the smile.
Mike’s success in racing has come in both on and off-road triathlon, qualifying for Xterra Nationals in 2009. Aside from racing, Mike is also a USA Triathlon certified official, the ultimate resource when truly understanding the rules of triathlon. He is sought to referee many events per year, from sprint to iron distance. Mike not only referees events, but also has the skills to drive the motorbike, one of the elite few to captain the Ironman USA moto-support and drive the cameramen to document the pro field on race day. He is the coach that is aiding transition setup on race morning, and then enthusiatically running the final finisher of the day across the finish; he truly knows racing inside and out!
Mike is available to coach triathlon, xterra, running, mountain and road cycling, adventure racing, motor sports and skiing. He thrives on assisting others to establish new personal bounds of their own.
Experience:
- USA Triathlon certified official
- Multiple Iron-distance finisher
