Robin Brown has found a way to combine two things she loves in life, exercise and food. Robin works as a Registered Dietitian and as a rowing coach at Three Rivers Rowing. A few of the areas she has focused her studies on are as follows:
- Nutrition to maximize athletic potential
- Nutrition for weight management
- Nutrition for various disease states (such as Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes and Celiac Disease)
Robin rowed competitively at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she rowed primarily as a lightweight rower. From that experience she learned a lot about the important role that food plays in athletic performance and how performance weight management is essential to the success of a lightweight rower. In 2002, she raced in a lightweight 8+ that placed 5th at the National Intercollegiate Rowing Championships. Robin’s philosophy on nutrition revolves around balance and moderation. She will aid in creating a nutrition plan that is periodized around personal training, creates healthy eating habits, and still satisfies one’s emotional connection to food.
